Vegas Bowl Possibilities

So I looked into this a little.  If BYU gets the bid, they will be playing on Tuesday Dec. 22 in Vegas at 5:00 p.m.  Possibly we could get together another inexpensive road trip, even less expensive than the first.  We could use a more fuel efficient car and possibly crash Uncle Ron's place for a night.  Every time we show up in Vegas, the Cougs win, and we may be able to pull this one out for about $50 each.  Anyone?  Thoughts?

Isn't he adarkable?

I was digging through our wedding photographs the other day and found this hidden treasure. This is one of the most pleasing photographs I have ever seen. I brings me such peace and reassurance. I give you....... our beloved Farkey-Darks.

PICTURES!

Todd tried to hold the banana out of the picture.

Thought this would be worth posting for those that Farcs didn't send the pictures to. Looks like the photographer excluded the shoes on purpose, Farcs.

the disneyland trip.

As you all know Todd and I went to disneyland this spring break. If you want to see pictures check your inbox. If I didn't send them to you than please yell at me. This is the story of our trip.
we loaded up on the bus at 11:00 tuesday night and drove until about noon the next day. We got to the hotel at about noon just to get our rooms set apart and change for the beach. The beach wasn't freezing cold like the last time we were in california and was very enjoyable.
while in our room I learned that we needed to bring black shoes and slacks. I pondered on it for a while and then got the idea to tape up our shoes with electric tape to make them look black. as we were getting the tape we kept our eyes open for black pants of any kind and found some black sweatpants. As you can see in the pictures I sent to you I pulled it off quite well. As for Todd he just happened to have a sore throat before we performed.
The next day we performed in california adventure and enjoyed the day there right up until the fireworks display. My favorite ride there by far was California Screaming.
the prices for food in that place are outragous but It was still more fun/magical than I could have ever imagined. The next day we stayed until 8:00, another great day.
Then the next day, we went to hollywood and saw the walk of fame. My hand is officially bigger than Matt Damon's.

Then we went to universal studios. it wasn't as magical, but it was still fun. we went on a tour and saw some special effects. It was fun, but not even close to as fun as disneyland. all in all this was arguably the most fun filled four days in my life.

Matt's Bracket

Didn't want to overshadow Todd's fantastic and educational movie, but since I didn't get in on the bracket in time, here is mine.  It was drawn up Wednesday night and has not been altered (obviously).  Oh, BYU.  Why could you not win at least one?

The Long Awaited Video

Well, here it is. FYI there is a rather long sing-along around the middle, please bear with us on that (we had to name every bone/bone group in the body). Oh, and no corrections on my pronunciation of the word 'Talipes' Mr. 'MD'. It was an honest mistake.

new template he he hee ( Ivan laugh)

Here's a new template for you all, Maybe it will keep you happy until todd's skeleton video gets graded. It was mostly so that it will keep the page even but hopefully it will keep you from getting hostile.
Well here is the big man himself, mr. parsons. He is the reason for all of your waiting so aim your anger at him, not me for being lazy.

The Video

While this video may be seemingly pointless, and inaccurate (Dad was kind enough to point out 1962 was not a year of hippies, or ccr for that matter) it was still worth 50 points in my KOHS class, and an example of my editing capabilities. Enjoy.

AJs 5.4 seconds of fame

This is the story of how AJ got on national telivision, through his eyes.

You can see me on ESPN College Gameday. From the seconds 14-21, the camera pans past me twice. First I am in a yellow shirt poking my green hat with a yellow "O" at the camera. Then the camera comes left, and I am giving the cameraman a manly fist pump and you can see my entire pasty white right arm.

A few of my buddies and I woke up at the butt crack of dawn to save our spots in the Gameday crowd. We had one objective, and we were going to do whatever it took to accomplish it. The marching band was given orders to hold back the crowd, but they had no idea what they were up against. As the cameras started rolling, my heart started thumping. Go back to the clip and notice how everyone on the front row is a member of the marching band, except for a couple of rats like me who forced our way past the little musicians and landed a spot on national t.v. Also notice the repulsion on the trumpet player’s face to my left, as he realizes that the only thing between his thigh and my giblets was a few layers of clothing. Hey, nobody said it would be easy. You can't make it out well, but he made quite the struggle to steal my seconds of stardom. Once I established my place in line with the band, the two trumpet players thought sandwiching me with all their might would make me feel uncomfortable, but they were wrong. I lunged at the camera twice, and gave my greatest effort to be seen.

Later that afternoon Chelsey, a few friends and I headed for our seats. Once we got to the gate, chelsey realized that her ticket had fallen out of her back pocket. After retracing our steps she was nearly in tears, and I proposed that we try a little something I had up my sleeve. Like I did with Paul F. in a BYU V.s. Boise St. game, I managed to sneak her in with one ticket, and we enjoyed the whole game together.
Though we lost the game by a few inches, and I violated a member of our marching band, September 27, 2007 was one of the best days of my life.

This Father's Day

This Father's day weekend dad kept implying that he wanted a La Bamba hat and he said that if we get the hat he would grow a mustache just like him. For those of you who don't know who La Bamba is he is the trombone player on connan o'brian who is frequently joked about as being gay but is a happily married man with four kids. here is the real La Bomba and dad. the mustache is drawn in but dad is now working on it.
